Use the MATLAB function compiler.runtime.download to download the MATLAB Runtime installer matching the version and update level of MATLAB from where the command is executed. If the installer has already been downloaded to the machine, it returns the path to the MATLAB Runtime installer. If the machine is offline, it returns a URL to the MATLAB Runtime installer. This option is best for developers who want to create application installers that contain MATLAB Runtime.

On Linux and macOS platforms, after copying files to your disk, the MATLAB Runtime installer displays the Product Configuration Notes dialog box. This dialog box contains information necessary for setting your path environment variables. Copy the path information from this dialog box, save it to a text file, and then click Next.

If you have many installations to perform, you can specify installation arguments as command-line arguments or in an installer control file to save time and prevent errors. When you specify installation arguments, the MATLAB Runtime installer runs as a background task and does not display any dialog boxes.

Specifies an installer control file that contains your command-line options and values. Omit the dash before each option, and put each option and value pair on a separate line. For example: agreeToLicense=yesoutputFile=myapp_log.txt

The MATLAB installer archive includes an example installer control file called installer_input.txt. This file contains all of the options available for a full MATLAB installation. The MATLAB Runtime installer only accepts the options listed in this section.

In the Core list, depending on the installation type you prefer, click the download link for the Windows Service Installer or the 32bit/64bit Windows zip file.

For a portable experience, install Tomcat using the zip file and avoid installing the service. Easily uninstall Tomcat when it is no longer needed by deleting the Tomcat directory, or move it around when necessary.

8. Check the Run Apache Tomcat box to start the service after the installation finishes. Optionally, check the Show Readme box to see the Readme file. To complete the installation, click Finish.

1. After downloading the 32bit/64bit Windows zip file, depending on your Windows version, unzip the downloaded file. Right-click the file and select Extract all...

To specify a version, append a hyphen and the version number to the filename. For this example the filename for version 2.0.30 would be awscli-exe-linux-x86_64-2.0.30.zip resulting in the following command:

The AWS CLI installer package .zip files are cryptographically signed using PGP signatures. If there is any damage or alteration of the files, this verification fails and you should not proceed with installation.

Download the AWS CLI signature file for the package you downloaded. It has the same path and name as the .zip file it corresponds to, but has the extension .sig. In the following examples, we save it to the current directory as a file named awscliv2.sig.

For a specific version of the AWS CLI, append a hyphen and the version number to the filename. For this example the filename for version 2.0.30 would be awscli-exe-linux-x86_64-2.0.30.zip.sig resulting in the following command:

Run the install program. The installation command uses a file named install in the newly unzipped aws directory. By default, the files are all installed to /usr/local/aws-cli, and a symbolic link is created in /usr/local/bin. The command includes sudo to grant write permissions to those directories.

The AWS CLI version 2 installer package .zip files are cryptographically signed using PGP signatures. If there is any damage or alteration of the files, this verification fails and you should not proceed with installation.

Due to standard user permissions, after the installer finishes, you must manually create a symlink file in your $PATH that points to the aws and aws_completer programs by using the following commands at the command prompt. If your $PATH includes a folder you can write to, you can run the following command without sudo if you specify that folder as the target's path. If you don't have a writable folder in your $PATH, you must use sudo in the commands to get permissions to write to the specified target folder. The default location for a symlink is /usr/local/bin/.

You can view debug logs for the installation by pressing Cmd+L anywhere in the installer. This opens a log pane that enables you to filter and save the log. The log file is also automatically saved to /var/log/install.log.

Run the standard macOS installer program, specifying the downloaded .pkg file as the source. Use the -pkg parameter to specify the name of the package to install, and the -target / parameter for which drive to install the package to. The files are installed to /usr/local/aws-cli, and a symlink is automatically created in /usr/local/bin. You must include sudo on the command to grant write permissions to those folders.

To specify which folder the AWS CLI is installed to, you must create an XML file. This file is an XML-formatted file that looks like the following example. Leave all values as shown, except you must replace the path /Users/myusername in line 9 with the path to the folder you want the AWS CLI version 2 installed to. The folder must already exist, or the command fails. This XML example specifies that the installer installs the AWS CLI in the folder /Users/myusername, where it creates a folder named aws-cli.

Download the pkg installer using the curl command. The -o option specifies the file name that the downloaded package is written to. In this example, the file is written to AWSCLIV2.pkg in the current folder.

To update your current installation of AWS CLI version 2 on Windows, download a new installer each time you update to overwrite previous versions. AWS CLI is updated regularly. To see when the latest version was released, see the AWS CLI version 2 Changelog on GitHub.

Using the msiexec command: Alternatively, you can use the MSI installer by adding the link to the msiexec command. For a specific version of the AWS CLI, append a hyphen and the version number to the filename.

MacBooks use a disk image or .dmg files for installing software. Sometimes you will come across a package or .pkg file, and sometimes these files are compressed into a Zip file (.zip). All applications are stored in the Applications folder.

1. Double-click the application file you've downloaded from the Internet. If you get an error message that says the program "can't be opened because it wasn't downloaded from the Mac App Store," right-click the downloaded file and select Open.

3. Drag the application to the Applications folder. Most .pkg files will do all the work for you, but sometimes with .dmg files, you will need to drag the app to the applications folder. Your application is now installed.

1. Drag the application from your Applications folder to the trash. If prompted, enter your password and click OK. This doesn't erase the tiny preference files that applications place in your system, so continue below to learn how to thoroughly uninstall a program. 041b061a72
